Bianca Grimaldi

Bianca is the founder and President of Washington Writing Group, LLC, a certified Women’s Business Enterprise. Over the last 9 years, Bianca has managed and/or written hundreds of government, private, and corporate grants resulting in over $100 million in grant wins. Her clients include institutions of higher education; national, community-based, advocacy, policy, and membership-based nonprofit organizations; health service organizations and hospitals; and businesses. Prior to initiating her writing career, Bianca was an Associate for AcademyHealth, a non-partisan resource for health research and policy, where she worked with the National Library of Medicine and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Changes in Health Care Financing and Organization. During her time at AcademyHealth, she authored numerous technical pieces, translating health services research to policy. Bianca also spent over five years with the Association of Teachers of Preventive Medicine (now the Association for Prevention Teaching and Research), where she managed an annual leadership symposium for graduate clinical students and coordinated training programs for four agencies within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Bianca received a B.S. in biomedical science with a minor in chemistry from Western Michigan University and a M.S. in Health Systems Administration from Georgetown University. Bianca specializes in working with underserved and disadvantaged communities over several topic areas, such as health care, education, and social services. Bianca lives with her two school-aged sons in Washington, DC.
